I couldn’t explain these actions with mere words
So I dance into the morning for all that it’s worth
The ground beneath holding secrets I’d buried with the past
My energies spring forth betraying the truth (that lies) in my heart
My feet moisten the earth that responds to me with heat
This heart thumps as I hold on to your hips swaying with each beat
Foreheads touching, I invite you into a hellish game
Your tongue given with parted lips, but you refuse to surrender your name
And although in intermissions we spoke, our breaths bathed in delight
I couldn’t help but fear that you were but a variety garden sprite
A figment of my imagination, a fiction I must have dreamed up
But if so, and even though, I do not wish for this reverie to stop
I’ve clawed my way back to reality, tearing through flesh and bone
Shaded under a bodhi tree you wait, so I do not feel alone
It’s an illusion all the same, you say; speaking of love and the game
Win or lose, it’s in the nature of things, that only your actions are always to blame
I ask my mother to save me, but the heavens heed not my fear
Madeline never forget, that for you I will always be near
Because as the destiny of all creation is a return back to its source
So is my love unbound and flowing, back to you in whatever path it must course
